The Solheim Cup is the most prestigious team event in women's golf, with the elite individuals from Europe and the United States battling for the famous crystal trophy. Like any good team format championship, the Solheim Cup is charged with emotion, with patriotism and national glory fuelling the fire.
It is now well established, but the Solheim Cup has only been competed for since 1990, when the dream of Ping founder, Karsten Solheim, was finally realised. An avid backer of women's golf, Solheim made history by pioneering this now prestigious event.
Like the Ryder Cup, the women's equivalent is played every two years and alternates between venues in Europe and the United States. Enquire now for your chance to soak up the phenomenal atmosphere with our official Solheim Cup ticket and hospitality packages.
Our dedicated team of golf travel specialists will help advise, guide and plan your dream tournament experience.

Getting to the 2023 Solheim Cup will always be an easy process when booking with Your Golf Travel. Flights from the UK to Malaga International Airport take 2 hours 45 minutes, while golf fans flying from America in support of Team USA can expect stops along the way in a number of the best cities in Europe including Frankfurt, Paris and Madrid. With so many options throughout Europe, finding flights for those travelling from the USA is never a difficult task.
Your Golf Travel can arrange transfers to and from Malaga Airport in order to make your experience as stress-free as possible. Transfers are also included in our Solheim Cup packages to transport golf fans to and from our selected accommodation options and the Solheim Cup event.
Should you prefer, we can also book hire cars at preferential rates, allowing you additional freedom to not only attend the Solheim Cup at Finca Cortesin, but to travel to and from local golf courses to enjoy your own rounds of golf, explore more of Spain’s famous Andalusian coastline, and even extend your adventure into Europe to experience countries like France, Germany, Austria and many, many more.
The public transport links in Andalucia are excellent, particularly in the Costa del Sol, with trains, metro lines, and buses all in operation up and down the coastline. However the language barrier can make them tricky to navigate, so getting around ideally requires a vehicle, whether it be hire cars or transfers which we can arrange.
Those opting for transfers who might want to further explore the region during their time away from The Solheim Cup can make use of local taxis which are extremely affordable and easily arranged by reception staff at your hotel of choice.
Depending on the location of your hotel, some visitors will also be able to walk to local towns and seaside marinas to access shops, restaurants, and bars.
